Newly arriving at Penny Lane is a new take on the lovely children's classic poem, Over in the Meadow. I personally have always had a soft spot for this delightful counting rhyme, as it was my little brother's favorite growing up, and we had to read it practically everyday when he was little. 

This new version published by Barefoot Books has all the traditional aspects of the song preserved, and even comes with an enhanced CD that you can both watch and listen to!

What I love most about this version of "Over in the Meadow" are the beautiful illustrations of the book by Jill McDonald. We carry several books from Barefoot that she illustrates, but this one is by far my favorite. With its cool color palette and McDonald's patchwork-art style, your child will be draw into the story and transported to this enchanting meadow full of lambs, mice and lizards.

The Penny Lane Boutique Online

So once upon a time I poured myself into a website for our little shop. Our customers repeatedly were asking for a website and so I tried to deliver. Alas, I was so exhausted by the whole process that after thepennylaneboutique.com finally was launched, I neglected it due to the bittersweet taste it left in my mouth=(

Three years later I am turning over a leaf and relaunching the website. It has a similar look and feel, but on my end I am more bright and positive  and ready to provide a wonderfully functionally website for all you online shoppers.
